Art of nature: olive trees sculptures.

Home 5 Inspiring moments 5 Art of nature: olive trees sculptures.

Today I’ve been in the countryside of  Villamassargia in a place called “S’Ortu Mannu”. Here you can find hundreds of secular olive trees that are 6 or 7 hundreds years old having been implanted between 1.300 B.C. and 1.600 B.C.

It’s a magical place where I have had the opportunity to admire  for another time the greatest artist of all: Mother Nature.

This olive tree is called “Sa Rejna – The Queen” and, according to some experts, it’s considered the biggest olive tree of all the Mediterranean see. I don’t know if it’s really true but for sure this tree is majestic. It’s 16 mt. diameter and at least 10 mt tall. But what is more interesting is that it’s really a living sculpture standing there for at least 7 hundreds year.
